The Darjeeling is a tasty tea which give fruity and woody aromas. This tea is tasted naturally, without milk or lemon. This tea is a superior blend including a high proportion of leaves from the spring harvest.
Darjeeling is called “the champagne of tea” for the spring harvest. This tea comes from the high plains of Darjeeling city, in India, at over than 2000 meters of altitude.
Several crops are produced. The first harvest takes place in the spring, at this moment the tea flavour is fresh and flowery. Production quantities are limited and the demand exerted is considerable. The summer picking gives velvety teas with woody and fruity flavours. Teas from monsoon harvest and autumn, less popular, are very full-bodied and give ripe fruit flavour.
